Privacy: what stays on your phone

What StudyLight keeps on your phone, what leaves it, and how to get a copy.

What data leaves my phone?

Only what a feature you use needs: your account details if you sign in; your scans if you switch on Pro cloud history; your location rounded to about 1 km for the UV forecast; purchase records from Google Play; a partner code if you arrived through a partner's link; and usage and crash reports only if you switch them on. The privacy policy lists everything: caliberix.com/privacy.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Scans, scores, child and room profiles, StudyTools content and your settings are kept in the app's private storage and are not sent to us. The one exception is your choice: with Pro, signed in and the scan-history setting on, each scan is also stored under your account so your history can move to a new phone.

What is never sent to Caliberix?

Camera images — they are analysed on the phone and deleted within seconds, never uploaded. Your child's name. Your StudyTools content. Without an account, none of your scans or profiles are sent to us either. (Anything you share yourself — a share card, an export — goes wherever you send it.)

Do you track me if I don't make an account?

No. There is no advertising and no advertising ID. Usage analytics and crash reports are off until you switch them on in Settings → Privacy & consent, and you can switch them off again at any time.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Settings → Privacy & consent → Download my data exports your scans as a CSV file.
