This notice covers this website, caliberix.com. The StudyLight app has its own Privacy Policy, and partners in the Caliberix Partners programme have their own Partners Privacy Notice.
Voraky Retail LLP (LLPIN AAP-1854), trading as Caliberix, is the data fiduciary for this website. Our addresses and our Grievance Officer are in section 8. This is our notice under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2.1 You can read every page here without giving us anything and without signing in.
2.2 This site sets no cookies of its own, and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. We do not know who you are or which pages you read.
2.3 The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request — including your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser identification string — to deliver the page and to protect the site from attack and abuse. Cloudflare keeps these records for a short period under its own terms as our processor; we do not use them to build any profile of you.
3.1 Several pages offer a form to join our newsletter about light and health science. The form is provided by EmailOctopus (EmailOctopus Ltd, United Kingdom), and the form itself is loaded from EmailOctopus's servers (eomail5.com), which means EmailOctopus receives the technical details of that request and may set its own cookie for the form to work.
3.2 If you subscribe, EmailOctopus stores, on our behalf: your e-mail address, the date and time you subscribed, the page you subscribed from, your IP address at that moment, and, afterwards, whether our e-mails were opened and which links were clicked.
3.3 We use this only to send you the newsletter and to see, in aggregate, whether it is being read. We never sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
3.4 You subscribe by consent, and you can withdraw it at any time: every e-mail has a one-click unsubscribe link, or write to support@caliberix.com. When you unsubscribe we stop sending, and your address is deleted within 30 days apart from a suppression record that stops us mailing you again by mistake.
3.5 If you never confirm or never open anything, we remove inactive addresses after two years.
4.1 Partners in the Caliberix Partners programme share links of the form caliberix.com/r/their-code. Following one takes you to the app's page on Google Play, with a marker so that the partner is credited if you install and later subscribe.
4.2 When a link is followed we record: the time, the partner's code, which app, the country the request came from, the website the click came from (the site's address only, never the full page you came from), and a one-way hash of your browser identification string that is re-salted every day. We do not store your IP address and we do not set a cookie. The daily re-salting means these records cannot be used to follow anyone from one day to the next; they exist to count clicks and to spot fake referrals.
4.3 We delete click records after 13 months.
4.4 A partner is never told who followed their link or who installed the app. They see counts, not people.
4.5 What the app itself does with a partner code after you install is described in the app's Privacy Policy.
If you e-mail support@caliberix.com, or use a link on this site to do so, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and keep the correspondence for up to three years, or longer if it concerns a legal claim. Our e-mail is hosted by our mail provider on our behalf.
This website is written for adults — parents, teachers and clinicians. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from a child through it. If you believe a child has subscribed to the newsletter, tell us and we will delete the subscription.
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time. Write to support@caliberix.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to our Grievance Officer and then to the Data Protection Board of India. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable of exercising them yourself.
